Understanding Islamophobia
What is Islamophobia?
Islamophobia is a form of racism and discrimination targeting Muslims or those perceived to be Muslim. It includes verbal abuse, physical attacks, discrimination in employment or services, and harmful stereotyping in media and public discourse.
ICV works to challenge and eliminate Islamophobia through community support, advocacy, education, and partnerships with governments, legal bodies, and civil society organisations.
Why Should I Report?
Your report matters
It creates an official record of the incident and supports your access to legal or welfare assistance.
Aggregate data from reports helps ICV advocate for stronger protections at government level.
Reporting reduces under-representation of Islamophobia in official statistics.
You may remain anonymous — your privacy is fully protected.
