From Melbourne to Mildura, The Victorian Mosque Open Day is an annual event designed to foster understanding and engagement between the Victorian Muslim community and the broader population of Victoria.
On Sunday the 25th of February, Mosques across Victoria will open their doors to all Victorians interested in exploring and celebrating the diverse cultural and religious tapestry that defines our state.
In light of persistent and growing Islamophobia and harmful misinformation, come learn about the Muslim community from the source!
Like so many others, the Victorian Muslim community is deeply hurting because of the war on Gaza. This year we will be acknowledging our brothers and sisters by incorporating a Palestinian theme into the broader purpose of mutual respect, understanding, and inclusiveness.
Attendees can anticipate a range of engaging experiences, including sermons, community discussions on Islamic beliefs, henna art, jumping castles, sausage sizzles and more.
This occasion offers a unique opportunity to extend a warm welcome to local neighbours, schools, businesses, faith groups, politicians, Aboriginal community groups and others interested in participating in the activities organised across the state.
