The Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV) is committed to protecting your privacy. The ICV operates the website www.islamophobiasupport.icv.org.au and delivers the ICV Islamophobia support service, herein collectively referred to as ICV Islamophobia Support. We aim to provide support to individuals and communities who have experienced or witnessed Islamophobia. We also collect information about Islamophobic incidents and examples of Islamophobia in Victoria for monitoring, advocacy, research and reporting purposes.
The ICV Islamophobia Support service may use the information collected to provide you with updates and our services. We may contact you by a variety of measures including phone, email, mail or SMS and may contact you about new services or opportunities available to you. Your email address will only be added to a mailing list with your consent.
Your personal information and sensitive information will be kept confidential, and only provided to a third party with your consent. De-identified information may be shared with our project partners or in the public reports we produce. If required or authorised by Australian law, a law enforcement agency or government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect our records when investigating suspected unlawful or improper activity.
Access to Information
You may request details of the personal information and sensitive information we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
